Step 1/4 Contact Person for the testing
*Name Kristine
*Surname (Family name) Asch

Step 2/4 Testing scope
2.1 Annex II:
Geology
2.2 Annex III
Mineral Resources
Natural Risk Zones
Soil

2.3 Other Spatial Data
Hydrogeology

Step 3/4 Contributions to the Testing Infrastructure
3.1 Providing test licences for software to other testing participants for the duration of the testing period.
Description: Please enter a description of the provided software, licenses and any relevant requirements

No

3.2 Providing software tool assistance (support functionality)

No

3.3 Providing a server/s hosting software tools available for testing

No

3.4 Other contributions to the testing infrastructure

No

Step 4/4 Contributions to the Feasibility Testing
4.1 Providing data for testing including the technical documentation of the data set (Metadata, application schema (UML), encoding (GML/XML or other), data format specification, code lists, portrayal (SLDs)...)

BGR and the State Geological Surveys of Germany will provide datasets in varios scale, formats and code lists.
BGR, …, providing datasets encoded in GSML/GML/XML via web services (WMS, WFS) with corresponding Metadata for the 1:1 mio scale.

The BGR will deliver portrayal rules, based on OneGeology-Europe. These portrayal rules, for stratigraphy, lithology and geological structures are also available as GIS style files and SLDs.

4.2 Are you willing to share the data you provide with other testing participants?
If a sharing agreement is subject to specific conditions, please specify them bellow:
Yes, a data sharing is intended with the local datasets of BGR for cross border testing in respect to resolution and contents.
Data sharing is not intended.

4.3 Description of input/output data (if possible under the license conditions)

BGR - Exist map datasets from:
GK 1000 (Geological Map of the Federal Republic of Germany 1 : 1 Mio); The GK1000 depicts the geological units of the superficial and bedrock geology of Germany clearly and in considerable detail. Input/output data for testing will be the whole map.
GÜK200 (Geological Overview Map of Germany at 1:200 000 scale); Input/output data for testing are one intersection of the 55 maps of the map series.
BÜK200 (Soil Overview Map of Germany at 1:200 000 scale); Input/output data for testing are one intersection of the 55 maps of the map series and an extract of the related soil profile database.
BÜK2000 (Soil Overview Map of Germany at 1:2 Mio scale); Input/output data for testing is the map and an extract of the related soil profile database.
Possibly, larger scale soil maps are additionally included in the testing.
LfU Bavaria:
GK25 (Geological Map of Bavaria at 1:25 000 scale); Input/output data for testing are one intersection of the map. ???
HK50 (Hydrogeological Map of Bavaria at 1:50 000 scale); Input/output data for testing are one intersection of the map. ???
LGRB, State of Baden-Württemberg:
GK50-BW (Geological Map of Baden-Württemberg at 1: 50 000 scale); Input/output data for testing are one intersection of the map. ???
Georisk dataset?
GD NRW:
HK50 (Hydrogeological Map of NRW at 1:50 000 scale); Input/output data for testing are one intersection of the map. ???
GK100 (Geological Map of NRW at 1:100 000 scale); Input/output data for testing are one intersection of the map. ???
IGL (integrated geological mapping of NRW at 1:50 000 scale); Input/output data for testing are one intersection of the map. ???

4.4 Documenting transformation methods/procedures (including rules or mappings configurations and schemas) to make source data compliant with the INSPIRE data specifications

Documents of used transformation methods and procedures are intended depending on feasibility.

4.5 Reporting on the need and requirements for registers (such as code list registers, feature catalogues, etc.)

No.

4.6 Identification of problems, e.g. related to the mappings, used tools, and solutions

It is intended to report problems and open issues related to feasibility.

Contributions to Fitness for Purpose Testing
4.7 Documenting methods/procedures for fitness for purpose testing

No, BGR is a data provider, not a user.

4.8 Description of used INSPIRE compliant data (if possible under the license conditions)

Not relevant.

4.9 Performing and reporting about fitness for purpose tests (paper exercise, use in existing applications, implementation of new application)

No

Other Contributions
5.1 Providing contextual cost-benefit elements directly or indirectly related to the testing (e.g number of data sets in Member state/per LMO level, average/min/max size of data sets, frequency and type of use, etc)

No

5.2 Other Contributions

No

Publication, Coordination & Requirements
6.1 *Do you agree to your testing contribution being made publically available?
Yes or No

6.2 We are planning to cooperate with other SDICs or LMOs.

Yes, e.g.
SDIC EGS,
SDIC GSSOIL,
SDIC CGI,
LMO BRGM
And other relevant SDIC's and LMO's on national and international levels.

6.3 In order to execute our testing activity we would need additional support

Yes.
At the moment this is not foreseeable. We would like to contact one of the Drafting Team Data Specification and the respective TWG's when need of additional support.
We plan to execute at least two workshops, one for the Geology Data Specification, on for Soil Data Specification. We would welcome it very much if a member of the JRC and / or Drafting Team Data Specification can attend each of the workshops.
